Are lips better off without chapstick, lip balm etc..?

well i noticed that wen i apply chapsick and other lip balms my lips r soft and healthy looking but if i dont apply it my lips get dry n start 2 chap. am i better off by just letting them heal on their own nd just drink more water? cause i herd that water helps hydrate them and keep them good and i herd tht sometimes lips can get addicted to lipbalms and depend on them all the time nd they get all dried and chapped wen not applied. so please anser my question thnks =]Are lips better off without chapstick, lip balm etc..?
just let them heal on their one. I heard today that if you apply chapstick, lipgloss, etc. that it attracts the sun's ray and the UV rays.

so your better off without them. hope i helped(:Are lips better off without chapstick, lip balm etc..?
Vaseline is actually much better at keeping lips soft than chapstick, and either chapstick or (I highly reccomend) vaseline is much better than lips alone. Make sure to apply vaseline before you go to bed, and you will wake up with softer lips, like a repeated overnight treatment with 8 hours of benefit.

Drinking lots of water helps with everything ^__^ Skin and acne, complexion, weight loss, and hydration for hair and lips.
Drinking water is good, but licking your lips a lot can make them chapped as wet from water without drying your lips will dry them out. Now a chap stick is good and it does no harm to wear it all the time. I prefer a lip gloss and they make conditioners for lips also that go on very smooth like a soft chap stick %26amp; you can put that under your lipstick if you wear lipstick.
First of, everybody could drink more water.

So that won't hurt you, Lol!

And if your lips are chappy, you should definently put on chapstick or something medicated. And I suggest putting chapstick on your lips and then put your lip color, or lip balm on top of that. This will keep your lips nice and smooth.
Yes! It would be better to stop using lip balms/ chap sticks! Your lips will go through a dry stage that lasts about a week, but then you'll only ever have to apply chap stick in the winter when your lips are actually dried out. Whatever you do don't continue to apply it every 20 minutes for 6 years.........like I did. My lips are now dependent on chap stick, it's like an addiction. People laugh at me when I say that but it's true! And quite sad for me cos I have to buy a new chap stick evey 10 days.
You can't get addicted to lip balms. That's an urban myth. If your lips feel chapped, go ahead and slather on some lip balm. Drink more water, also. You should aim to get 48 to 64 ounces of water per day (or 6-8 8oz. glasses).
dont lick your lips , that makes them more chapped .

put vasilene on them before bed .

dont apply lip gloss untill the chappness is gone

and apply plenty of carmex =)
well wearing too much chapstick can actually dry your lips till u get dependent on them!!!

just let them relax for a while:)
water def helps and for me vaseline is the best for my dry lips
